What an incredible topic to discuss with you as many have asked such questions as � �what is God�s will for my life?� �How do I know what job to take?� or �who should I marry?� and of course the infamous �Why?� questions. At God4me Ministries, we like to ask �What does God want?� as we consider prayerfully plans and activities we believe we are called to do in God's will.

By no means are we here to answer any of those questions for you but to only be an arrow back to God�s word as in Romans 12:2 NKJV �And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.�

Chuck Swindoll has an in-depth book called �The Mystery of God�s Will � What Does He Want for Me?� where he talks about God�s ways and that we are part of His plans. When we ask, �Why?�, we should realize that nothing is a surprise to God. Romans 8:28 says �And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.� and Psalm 115:3 �But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.� We can�t see the future but we can always tell later what God was doing after it has happened. Many times this revelation doesn�t appear until years later but ask yourself � look back, are there any situations where you can say, �that was a rough time or situation but Oh, God meant for this to happen so��, and answer the so. This is hindsight from the past but it is faith in the present.

In Chuck Swindoll�s book and Henry Blackaby�s best seller �Knowing and Doing The Will of God � 15th Anniversary Ed.�, both authors talk about knowing where God is at work and working where God works. They suggest that God has tried to get our attention by revealing where He is at work but we don�t always immediately acknowledge it. As it says in Blackaby�s book we usually say, �Well, I don�t know if God wants me to get involved here or not. I had better pray about it.� and as we should but the opportunity to join God may pass us by. We need to learn to identify where God is working and build that sensitivity to and drawing towards the Father as mentioned in John 6:44.

In order to answer some of those tough questions we ask � we need to understand how God leads us.
To summarize using the references listed below, God leads us in many ways:
1 � God leads us through His written Word.
2 � God leads us through the inner prompting of the Holy Spirit.
3 � God leads us through the counsel of wise, qualified, and trustworthy people.
4 � God leads us into His will by giving us an inner assurance of peace.

�And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,� Paul writes to the Colossians, �to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful� (Colossians 3:15). This peace which is God�s gives as inner assurance acts as an umpire in your heart.
